It ... View MoreI was blessed to go on a tour in Israel in 2014 lead by Jonathan Cahn. The picture on my profile page was taken during our time of praise and worship in the Sea of Galilee as the sun was setting. It was one of my favorite memories from the tour! One of my favorite stories in the Bible is when Jesus rescued the disciples on the sea of Galilee during the 4th watch. (Between 3 A.M. and 6 A.M) This story is told in Matthew 14, Mark 6. I discovered as a police officer that some of our most dangerous calls came during the 4th watch, and I can tell you many stories of how God came to my rescue and helped me rescue others during life-or-death situations during the night! One very special night for me personally was when I was sitting at my dad's bedside in his hospital room. He was being released the next day but had been told he only had one year to live due to lung cancer. While I sat at his bedside while he slept peaceably, the Lord spoke to me at midnight, "4th watch." My mind immediately went to these stories In Matthew and Mark and I opened my Bible to them to read them again and ponder them in my heart. I asked Holy Spirit why He had whispered 4th watch and I believe He told me that Jesus would be coming for my dad during the 4th watch. I shared this with my dad as he continued to sleep peaceable. I told him that he would not have to suffer long as I believed the Lord would be coming to his rescue sometime between 3 A.M and 6 A.M. I sat with my dad the rest of the night and beginning at 3 A.M. I was fully alert and expectant for Jesus to arrive anytime. But 3 A.M., 4 A.M., and 5 A.M., passed with my dad continuing to sleep peacefully, with no change in his breathing. But at 5:40 A.M. there started to be longer pauses between his breaths, and at 5:50 A.M. he very peacefully exhaled his last breath and went home with Jesus! As I sat there in awe, with tears running down my face, Holy Spirit spoke to me "precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints. (Psalm 116:15). God is faithful! Thankyou JESUS!
